Sulli's Global Issues' Mental Awareness Week

Sulli's Global Issues' Mental Awareness Week
Sullivan Heights Secondary's Global Issues Club is to be hosting a Mental Health Awareness Week (or MHAW as some like to call it) starting from November 18th to the 22nd although these dates are not yet certain and may change. It has been postponed regarding to the last update for this post although the counsellers' presentation was still carried out on Wednesday November 13th during a Global Issues Club meeting. It was indeed very helpful and informative because they brought most of the mental awareness issues to every ones attention. Everyone in the school will be asked to participate by wearing certain colours; blue or green. These are the colours of the Canadian Mental Health Association. There will be many announcements made during the week to inform people about these issues at school and an assembly to inform the students about more of these issues and ways to get help. They will provide lots of information about different programs created to help and how to deal with them.

The clubs members think it would be a good idea to let people know how to deal with these issues and how to support those who have them. Sulli's global issues club has come a long way with planning the Mental Health Awareness week. During this week we will be all about distributing ribbons that are the colour of the Mental Health Association symbol. The Global Issues club is looking forward to have everyone participate in this informative event.
